This Thursday after Swing Dance Lessons we will have  The Mighty Lo-Fi Kings at The Brighton Bootlegger this week.
The Mighty Lo-Fi Kings, a new cool outfit fronted by legendary Little Victor and Rob Glazebrook, are guaranteed to knock your socks off. Their rhythm section is composed of Orlando Shearer and Nick Simonon, two other great veteran musicians. The band plays a blend of old-school rockin’ blues, and black rock and roll, mixing obscure covers and original numbers. They formed shortly before the pandemic and after 18 long months of lockdowns, started to play again. Performing at selected venues and festivals such as the Rockin’ Race and the Rhythm Riot. The strong chemistry on stage between Victor (a hardcore blues guy at heart that started his long career playing 50s rock and roll) and Rob (a well-known 50s rock and roll and rockabilly troubadour who also loves vintage blues music) always seems to hit the spot. The two-guitar interplay is probably the strongest feature of this combo, but Rob’s guitar behind Victor’s harp is just as good. They both share vocals duties making this band one of the very few bands on the scene that has two different and very charismatic front men.
Line Up:
Little Victor (vocals, guitar, and harp)
Rob Glazebrook (vocals and guitar)
Orlando Shearer (upright and electric bass)
Nick Simonon (drums)
